How to get Primal Essence in MapleStory?
Primal Essence is a rare crafting material in MapleStory that is used for equipment such as Meister Ring and Meister Earrings.
The item can be got from two main sources:
- Defeat the boss Arkarium (normal mode)
- Farm Heartstones and Gold Flowers
Arkarium can be unlocked by completing chapter 2 of the Silent Crusade questline.
Heartstones and Gold Flowers will spawn in maps that have high-level monsters in them. They will spawn randomly when players are active in the map; a good method for finding them is changing channel constantly to see if they spawn.

The rate of a Primal Essence dropping is very rare. In Reboot World, the item sells for 10,000,000 Mesos.
